2017 Mommy & Me Minis {Pittsburgh Family Photography}

This year's Mommy & Me sessions were so perfect!! I had the opportunity to photograph so many wonderful families and mamas with their babies! From first time moms with infants to a mom with twin baby boys and a toddler girl to a mom with adult children and her grandchild! I absolutely love all the sweet moments we were able to capture among these amazing families.

Moms are often the ones behind the camera, taking photos of their children or their children with dad or someone else in the family. But I find it is so important to take photos with your children as well. Think back to photos you may have with your mom during your childhood and how precious that photo may be to you. It's capturing a moment in time...a moment that doesn't last very long. Childhood goes by so quickly and we all change as humans throughout our lifetime, so how amazing is it that these beautiful children now have photos with their mom to cherish for the rest of their life! I believe that we should take photos with our children at least every year. So much can change in that year...children grow, maybe they're not as snuggly as they used to be or they don't quite fit in your lap the same way as they did last year. Photographing a child and parent together documents that growth in time...something that can never be expressed through writing or drawings.

So mamas, hand over those cameras! It doesn't have to be professional photo shoot. But make a promise to yourself that you take more photos with your children. At least once a year...on your child's birthday, during your favorite time of year or even right before a fun family holiday! Take photos of your children and take photos with your children. I promise you, you won't regret it!
