 I met this family after receiving a referral from a previous newborn client. I was excited for this session because Trace has a big sister and I love photographing siblings! They are such a laid-back and sweet family - and super patient with me as I posed their little boy. Trace was pretty alert through most of his session but that allowed me to capture some awake shots and his beautiful eyes!

After finishing my online training course in newborn posing, I put out a model call for a newborn to practice the new material. One of my previous family session clients recently had a baby and offered to let me practice with her sweet baby girl, Clara. Clara was about 2 1/2 weeks old and pretty alert throughout the session. She never went into that really deep sleep that we needed for some of the poses, but I still got to practice new angles, props and a few poses. It was so much fun to practice with this sweetheart! I just love some of the shots we got, especially in my new crate which she seemed to feel the most comfortable in.

Please contact Becca to discuss your in-home/on location newborn or family photography session.* I was scheduled to host back-to-back mini sessions in January but had to cancel when mother nature decided to give us snow and sub-zero temperatures. I was really bummed that I had to cancel. But then I was contacted by a mother who wanted to get pictures of her 16 month old daughter as a special gift for her dad on Valentines Day. The baby was so sweet and after a few minutes of warming up to me and the camera, she became really playful. I really love the huge smiles I got from her and her "flying kisses" she gave to the camera. What a sweetheart!!

I was super excited to do another newborn session and to meet sweet baby Hannah. She was such a little doll - so tiny and with the cutest little features! Her parents were so fun and willing to let me experiment with a variety of set ups. They also had their own special props to incorporate, which I just loved!!
