A little about me:
I was born and raised in Texas and moved to Pittsburgh in 2009 with my husband. I have had a passion for working with children for as long as I can remember. It started with babysitting and assisting in our church children's programs and mission trips. Then I taught in a day care while in college and volunteered with children in various programs. After finishing my bachelors and masters degree in child development, I began my career as a Child Life Specialist working with children in a hospital setting. Throughout my career working with children, I also had a strong interest in photography. My interest began at a young age when I started taking my own photos and entering into contests. I bought photography books, went to museum exhibits and read anything I could online. My interest became more of a serious hobby when my husband and I started traveling and I was able to take photos all over the world! Once my friends started having children, I saw a way to combine my two passions of working with children and photography. So, I started studying, taking classes and online training programs to learn how to photograph children and families in various settings. I found it so rewarding to photograph infants and children in order to capture precious moments for families at a time that passes so quickly. Now that I'm a mom to my sweet girl, I'm finding my passion for photography growing in new and exciting ways! I officially started my business in 2013 and I haven't looked back!
Fun facts: I LOVE to be outdoors. Whether I'm running, hiking or playing with my daughter in the yard, I could spend hours outside. And I really love exploring new parks and trails in and around Pittsburgh. I find it so interesting to travel to my client's homes, which lets me discover neighborhoods all over town!
