 I was contacted by this family who wanted to gift a family photo session to the mother/grandmother of this beautiful family. All of their family members were in town for the holiday so it was the perfect time to schedule a full family photo session! They were all so much fun and willing to jump right in for a variety of shots. I wish I could have taken a few 'behind the scenes' shots of the children's parents behind me trying to get their attention and smiles - it was pretty hilarious! I really enjoyed meeting the Leslie family who wanted photos with their adorable 10 month old daughter, Claire. They were all so sweet and had some great ideas for the type of photos they wanted to capture. After moving into their new home, they wanted several photos that they can showcase throughout their home. We were also able to capture some adorable photos of Claire and her toothy grin!

But I was asked to come do family photos in a home at Seven Springs Mountain Resort. There was a nice snowfall that morning and it was absolutely gorgeous!! I couldn't believe how beautiful it was....just breathtaking! I really enjoyed spending time with this wonderful family as well. Everyone was so sweet and the three older siblings were just fawning over their baby sister! Even though they loved taking photos - they couldn't wait to head out to the ski slopes...and I couldn't blame them!! =)

Due to the cold, unpredictable weather in Pittsburgh during December, we went back and forth about indoor locations for their session. Finally, we settled on doing the session at their home and I'm so glad we did! They had an amazing, historical home with huge beautiful windows that was just perfect! I loved how relaxed the family was and we were just able to play around while getting some really cute, fun shots!

When I prepare for a newborn session, I come with tons of props including blankets, wraps, headbands, baskets, etc. But when I showed up at Matt and Katie's house, Katie already had several adorable props ready for me! She had an entire Christmas set up and outfit for Riley - she was really prepared! It was so great!! Riley was such a sweetheart and was just a doll! I loved working with her and her fantastic parents!!

I did her youngest son's newborn photos and a family session for them over the summer and it was so great to see how the kids had grown in just a few months! They were both just so stinkin' adorable! And we were able to get a few shots of the kids with the Christmas lights...perfect for their holiday session!

I really enjoy this family. Their son is hilarious and always a 'ham' for the camera. He was obviously excited to be a big brother and he was happy to get some photos holding his baby sister. They were so cute together!!

They were all so fun and we had a blast playing around, getting their shots. Their mom's were hilarious - as soon as I was set up and ready to start, they stood behind me and danced, sang, told jokes, laughed, whatever they could to get the kid's attention. It was hysterical! I had so much fun during this session and I really enjoyed getting to meet this fun family!!    |
